In addition to all the other comments on how this is just Gen A hating on Gen A+1, it’s pretty easy to miss possibly the biggest reason Sonic stands out: he’s fucking BLUE

If they already don’t have time to play video games, what makes you think they have time to boot up everything just to install some updates? Also, I don’t know about you (or OP) but I certainly don’t PLAN my video game time days or weeks in advance. Maybe this is just my interpretation, but I think that first panel can be read as “Oh good, I have some unexpected time on my hands. Moght as well play video games” but I think your interpretation is closer to “Finally, I’ve been waiting for this moment for ages”
