  • I would say that we’ve just discovered that our approach to test knowledge and critical thinking was secondary to the means we used.

Apparently, essay writing doesn’t require either of those.

Which means we have to think how we teach kids. They will and should use helper tools, but just like we teach multiplication table before allowing calculators, well have to establish what students have to learn before they can use the LLMs in their studying.

  • Talk to a professional. Burnout at work is often a result of caring about something that is out of one’s control. Which means that just getting some rest and coming back into the same environment will bring the burnout back.

In other words, you need to rest, but also change the pattern that led you there. Unfortunately changing jobs will likely mean it all will come back. It’s not your fault, but only you can learn to do things differently.

I’m on my eight’s language and the sad realisation I had around the fourth is that I’ve seen people better communicating while speaking one and a half languages.

I guess I don’t have any suggestions. Watch media in the language. At least you’ll understand it better and maybe by parroting, somewhat improve the speaking. But without human feedback, it’s hard to know if you’re saying something wrong.

  • My personal experience is that there’s a direct correlation between my physical health and effectiveness of my ADHD medication.

My hypothesis is that since it’s about my brain capability to register and prioritise stimuli, the busier said brain is (with other body issues) the less likely it is too perform executive functions. This might be the general case, but since we start from the unfavorable position, it might be more debilitating for us.

(I’ve no idea why I’m using such a fancy language rn. Apologies)
